College & Career Mission Effort - Thursday, August 12, 2010

Operation Christmas Child

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, ...for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."  Matthew 19:14

The College and Career Sunday School Class is conducting a service project that will last until the end of October.  We will be collecting supplies to fill shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan's Purse.  Here is a list of the items that we will be collecting:

  • May/June: Hygiene Items (toothbrush, toothpaste, combs, washcloths, bar soap)
  • July: School Supplies (pencils and sharpeners, pens, paper, solar calculators, crayons, markers, coloring books)
  • August: Toys (small toys that do not require batteries, Happy Meal toys, small balls and stuffed animals)
  • September: child size socks, shirts
  • October: candy (gum, suckers, hard candy)

We will also be taking monetary donations as each box costs $7 to ship.  Boxes will be set up in the foyer each month to collect the items for this mission effort.  For questions, see Clift Ward or Kayla Curry.

Welcome to Bullitt Lick...

At Bullitt Lick, our mission is “Making God’s glory our passion in order to lead people to know, grow, and go.” In other words, we desire to build disciples of Jesus for the glory of God. Our aim is to make disciples of our Lord both locally and globally. Thus, our vision, which explains how we will carry out our mission, is to be a people where worship is central, evangelism is intentional, discipleship is foundational, and missions is global.
